Meena Singh, MD, FAAD
Featured on TLC’s ‘Bad Hair Day’, Dr. Meena Singh is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon. She attended Harvard Medical School, trained at the Mayo Clinic, and completed a procedural fellowship with the International Society for Hair Restoration Surgery, under Dr. Marc Avram. As part of her surgical fellowship training in New York City, she also became trained and board-certified in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, as well as cosmetic dermatology procedures, such as Botox, lasers, and fillers.
Dr. Singh is the medical director of the Skin and Hair Center. She maintains special expertise in hair transplantation, medical therapy for all forms of hair loss and treating ethnic skin. She has lectured at numerous international surgical conferences.
Dr. Singh recently starred in the TLC network show, ‘Bad Hair Day’ where she performed hair restoration procedures for patients with severely distressing scalp disorders. She has been featured on the cover of the New York Times and has numerous publications in many peer-reviewed dermatology journals, book chapters, and has been published in the New England Journal of Medicine. She is a reviewer for the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology and the Dermatologic Surgery journal. She co-authored, “Hair Transplantation, Aesthetic Series” complete hair transplant textbook. She also has had numerous TV/media appearances.
Dr. Singh has served on several boards including the Kansas City Dermatologic Society, Greater Kansas City chapter of the National Medical Association (NMA) and the NMA Dermatology section. She also belongs to the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and the Scarring Alopecia Foundation.
Dr. Singh has performed clinical trials in laser hair stimulation, as well as studies in hair transplantation for scarring and non-scarring forms of hair loss. She has also performed investigative studies on skin cancer in transplant recipients, as well as tissue engineering.

Johanna Hocevar, PA
Johanna Hocevar, PA-C is a board certified Physician Assistant. She was born and raised in Overland Park, KS and is passionate about providing comprehensive and individualized care to the community she calls home.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a minor in Chinese Language and Literature from the University of Kansas in 2016, followed by her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Stephens College in 2024. Following graduation, Johanna pursued and completed an intensive dermatology fellowship under the direct guidance and mentorship of Dr. Singh, where she received advanced, hands-on training in comprehensive dermatologic care, including extensive expertise in diagnosing and managing all types of hair loss across diverse hair types and textures.
Johanna has experience in general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, with particular expertise in the evaluation and treatment of hair loss. She provides same-day appointments for skin and hair concerns and offers a comprehensive array of aesthetic services, including laser treatments, Botulinum toxin injections, dermal fillers, and advanced non-surgical hair restoration options, allowing patients to address both medical and cosmetic goals in one setting.
Outside of the clinic, Johanna enjoys staying active through weight training and spends her free time cooking and baking new recipes. She also remains closely involved in her family’s jewelry business in Kansas City, MO.

Courtney Stene, PA-C is a board-certified Physician Assistant with over nine years of experience specializing in dermatology. Born and raised in Shawnee, Kansas, Courtney is proud to serve the community she grew up in and values building long-term relationships with her patients.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Pittsburg State University in 2013 and completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Wichita State University in 2016. Following graduation, Courtney pursued advanced training in dermatology by completing a dermatology fellowship under the mentorship of Dr. Meena Singh.
Courtney is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Associates and the American Academy of Physician Associates. She has a passion for teaching and enjoys mentoring pre-PA students, as well as participating in medical mission work.
With a decade of experience in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, Courtney is dedicated to helping patients feel confident and comfortable in their skin. She takes pride in providing personalized, patient-centered care and strives to ensure every patient feels heard, supported, and leaves with a customized treatment plan tailored to their individual needs. She also has a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of hair loss.
Outside of the clinic, Courtney enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, and two wiener dogs. In her free time, she loves reading, traveling, and playing board games.
Olubukola (Bukky) Aremu, NP
Bukky Aremu is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and has been practicing since 2016. Bukky received her Master’s of Science in Nursing from Graceland University in 2015. She began working for the University of Kansas Urgent Care/Occupational Health and Minute Clinic. In 2019, she completed a dermatology fellowship and trained under Dr. Meena Singh. Since then, she has been working in Arizona as an NP specializing in dermatology. Bukky is so excited to be working with Dr. Singh again here in Kansas City. Some of Bukky’s hobbies include being a foodie, traveling, attending concerts and sporting events.

Nia is our on-site certified Trichologist /stylist. She has been in the beauty industry for 24+ years and a certified trichologist for over 10 years. She attended Ea La Mars beauty college and obtained her professional beauty license there. She became a licensed instructor and went on to become licensed in the state of Missouri and Kansas. Later, she attended the National Trichology Training Institute in Stockbridge, Georgia and became a certified Trichologist. She always had a flare for hair but throughout my career, I started to see a hair loss epidemic so I decided to do a paradigm shift and focus on hair and scalp health. She has traveled and trained with some of the industry’s best and has gained several certificates and awards throughout her career. She has competed in a worldwide competition ‘Ultimate Stylist’ and made it to the final round. She is passionate about her career, dedicated to the cause and holds a five star rating. Her work speaks for itself.
